We’ve started moving emails on Hardcover from Ruby on Rails w/Sendgrid to using Loops ( https://loops.so ) and so far so good.
It handles both newsletters and transactional emails. They charge $1/2,000 emails sent, which is a lot more than directly sending with Amazon SES ($1/10,000).
The advantage is having all email content in templates that are suuuper easy to edit w/variables passed in.
With over a dozen different emails, having them easily editable in one place is great.
