Did I just really read that Kansas City is getting it’s 2nd soccer specific stadium and the first women’s stadium in the country?
First, yes, I realize KC is a big place but it has a very nice and widely used soccer stadium. It’s widely used due to its location as a central location in the country.
Putting a purpose built stadium in a location that has been used to grow US soccer..
Club team or not, this becomes the women’s national team home stadium like the long time use of sporting’s facilities for the men’s team. That’s my guess.
