"Sixty-eight percent of respondents agreed that Israel should call for a cease-fire and try to negotiate..." Israel already did that. They said, "release our hostages, and we can negotiate a ceasefire."
If we don't figure out a better word than "ceasefire," we're going to tear ourselves apart over nonexistent differences.
