"It's effectively (highly) centralized. Transportation isn't free & easy if you don't have electricity. Wallets can be stolen. It's just as fiduciary as the others. Payment clearing requires electricity, unfiltered internet, and fees. Bitcoin Core is highly --globally-- centralized. If you're not compatible with it then you're effectively starting all over with a new cryptocurrency. Even the central banks aren't globally centralized. It's the beast system, yo!"
I was posed this rebuttal when I gave a synopsis on Bitcoin. I think I could've done better, but this is what I've mustered:
Can Bitcoin Core shut down bitcoin? Can they issue bitcoin to people? They do not control bitcoin.
Bitcoin without internet via SMS service @Machankura8333
Even then, most places have access to electricity. https://t.co/oK7vKwwe4O
If there's no electricity, the banks will have issues as well. You'd have other things to worry about. @GridlessCompute
is making it more accessible.
Yes your wallet- "private key" “account access private words” can be stolen if have poor security. Just like if you decide to leave your gold bars out in a vulnerable place. That's simply the fault of the individual, not bitcoin.
You trust the code. And everyone who participates agrees on the rules via the consensus mechanism. Bitcoin Core is abiding by the rules, I don't understand your issue with them.
Central banks around the world have different currencies which makes it hard to convert and transfer. Not to mention fractional banking and money printing. The Bitcoin Central Bank is far more accessible, inclusive, simple, and fair.
Am I missing anything else?🧐
