I’m admittedly still learning here too so please pardon if there are gaps in my ability to explain. But with Nostr you have more redundancy and can publish to multiple relays or run your own to keep a backup. Your identity is tied to your pub key instead of a 3rd party’s domain. So even if a relay admin bans you, you do not have to to start over from scratch and odds are your peers can still connect to you through other relays.
