I grew up in a house with TV on, and I loved it. Watched a lot of nerdy stuff growing up, and anime ofc (been a proud weeb for 20+ years). We have TV in our house, my wife watches whatever she wants, but with the kids it's harmless shows like Bluey and anime only. My kids request Ghibli films more than any others. My oldest daughter basically watches anime only. I ONLY watch anime (and 2 cooking shows, and Shogun on FX is fucking fantastic).
If we watch movies, it's RARELY anything recent (honestly...John Wick and Godzilla basically), and mostly old things (old Godzilla, Alien franchise, etc). Stuff that isn't so pozzed. I do a pretty good job of screening anything before I let it into my house, and we do have regular discussions about Scripture, Biblical morality, and the ugliness of sin that The System™ tries to pass off as normal. My 12yo regularly shows her disgust at homos, government propaganda, etc. NGL- pretty proud.
My wife likes to have her music on the overwhelming majority of the time, though. She likes these 1940's/50's 6hr playlists on Youtube that I ripped and put on our NAS. Classic stuff that gives off wholesome vibes while she cooks, cleans, and plays/homeschools the kids.
