Blue = What is targeted at you specifically
Grey = New chat messages
Since a Community relay goes way beyond chat and since many users will not even care about the chat messages of a given community, I'm differentiating between those two.
Tapping the Blue takes you straight here:
These are the replies, zaps, mentions and reactions on **any** of your publications in this community (including chat messages).
Copying Big Tech chat apps and bundling new messages and your notifications under one counter isn't an option.
I know it looks weird and crowdy at first but it's the most elegant Nostr dashboard I can think of:
1. For 1-on-1 chats it looks completely normal since all messages are targeted at you. So you only have the blue counter like anywhere else.
2. For group chats that only handle chats you only have two counters and you get it after 1 click
3. For any group/community that handles more content types you have granular control over the kind of content types you want to be notified about (f.e. only articles and wikis) and they're only one click away.
