I these years the Debian team did a good works including the Common lisp tools into the distribution; in fact there are available 3 different compilers (ABCL, ECL, and ECL) and a few packages (for example pgloader and stumpwm).

Some time ago i came across a request for help from the Debian uploader for SBCL,
