So, from what I can tell in my time there so far, #Threads is just Mastodon with much less functionality (even the app is a carbon copy of Mastodon official), a useless search function that only searches usernames, corporate gatekeepers, an algorithm that boosts who they choose to curate into a nonlinear timeline that rarely shows people you actually follow (doubly problematic without a proper search function), and quote resharing. Have I got that right? #fediverse #SocialMedia #Mastodon
