The judicial system is the weakest branch of the American model. Interpretations of the law seem to vary to an absurd degree between federal court districts, to the point that the viability of a case depends almost entirely on which district hears it. Then there's the matter that the SCOTUS has absolute say over what cases they hear, so they can and frequently do straight up refuse to provide definitive rulings on questions of law even when there's a massive amount of public interest in having them answered.
