I fucked up my C4 at work. The lower back pain I had learned to live with, unless it went up to ten.
From just the extreme pressure and pain to the stabbing raw pain, when it feels like if you move you will be torn in half.
But the neck took me out, my hands didnt work. The nerves were pinched. Moving my fingers feels like guitar strings inside my hands. The nerves tight, if I reach for something on a high shelf, the nerves send shocks to my fingers, it's quite painful.
This is why I can't ride my bike or use a cane, cannot put any weight on my hands.
Completely different kind of pain.
Both are treatable.
7 years I waited for an MRI, you won't believe whst happened. Lost my job because of a stupid virus called mononucleosis or something. Never had it before, still had never been vaccinated for anything, ever.
Got so sick, 3 weeks later, They fired me. I could handle 2 great pains, but not 3.
My life ended. There was no treatment. I had gone from super fit to a tiny bit soft, I couldn't bike, Ive biked my whole life, hours a day.
They started blaming my weight for my pain. The weight came AFTER.
This is tbe worst part. You become what they hate, muscle quickly turns to fat, knees go out, now I'm the fat lady who doesnt want to exercise. This is when they start breaking your heart.
"You were never healthy, stop eating junk food, breathe, do yoga, and for fucks sake take a walk."
I have never eaten junk food, except ramen noodles to ward off starvation while travelling or inbetween jobs.
Then I start breaking bones, both legs, one arm, then my head.
Now I'm disabled, this started on my 40th birthday. Now I'm 48. Still waiting, going deeper into debt everytime I fall unconscious and some idiot calls an ambulance.
Do not call an ambulance. They are expensive in Iceland. Then there is a 12 to 20 hour wait in an er where NO ONE is masked. Hospital bills go up.
Ive been bed bound since 2020. Had a broken leg before covid hit.
Not one visitor in 4 years.
No wheelchair. Solitary confinement.
