"summary",
"Russian children's rights ombudswoman Maria Lvova-Belova announced that 26 Russian children, including 10 from Dagestan, have been returned to Russia from a refugee camp in northeastern Syria. However, over 1,200 children from Dagestan remain in camps in the Middle East, with 383 having been returned to the Republic of Dagestan since the beginning of the repatriation campaign. The humanitarian mission, coordinated by the Russian children's ombudswoman's office, has repatriated 592 children from Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, and Turkey since 2018."
