What we avoid doesn’t disappear. It waits. It festers. It shows up in ways we don’t expect…in our relationships, in our thoughts, in the moments we think we’ve moved on. Avoidance is a thief, robbing us of growth, of clarity, of the relief that only comes when we face what we fear. The longer we run, the more tangled the web becomes.
Avoidance may feel safe, but it keeps us stuck. Growth lives in the space where discomfort meets courage. When we step into that space, when we choose to confront what we’ve been hiding from, we find freedom. Not because it’s easy, but because we’re no longer held hostage by what we’ve been too afraid to see.
Avoidance doesn’t protect us…it delays us. The life we want is waiting, just on the other side of what we’re avoiding. All it takes is one step toward it. One moment of bravery. One choice to face what’s hard and trust that we’re strong enough to handle it. Because we are. Always.
