This year’s #honey has a beautiful golden yellow color, a distinctly lighter hue than last season’s. Summer here was extremely dry, a stark contrast to 2023’s record levels of precipitation. Changing weather patterns alter which flowers are blooming in abundance during peak nectar flow from year to year — Even with honey harvested from the same hives in the same location it’s always amazing to witness (and taste!) not only seasonal differences, but also cyclical ones over many years.
