Twitter was always viewed as the ‘weird’ platform by allowing pseudonyms to tweet with its strict character limit because Jack wanted to make sure mobile users can participate. Eventually politicians and ‘normal’ people hopped on board.
I’m far from a laser eyed maxi, but it’s not surprising that nostr attracted a certain crowd first. The great thing is that it will continue to spread out over time.
