I don't believe for a moment that Trump and Musk want transparency. They want to enrich themselves, and they want "transparency" for everyone else, but not them.
I question Elon Musk's loyalty to the U.S. Constitution. He was born and raised in apartheid South Africa and lived there until he was 18 before moving to Canada. What are his loyalties? Just because he has billions of dollars doesn't mean he is some kind of special, awesome person to be worshiped. There is nothing in Musk's background that makes him worthy of such trust. Most people as rich as Musk got that way by screwing over other people. Google the way he has treated his workers.
Musk fired 5 inspector generals that were tasked with investigating Tesla and SpaceX. SpaceX and Tesla have received billions in government contracts. Who is watching Musk? Musk himself.
