I grew up in the Grim Thatcher North Of England and hot water bottles were a common and everyday thing to me as a child, and then I moved out and went to my own place and never got around to buying a hot water bottle. This was silly.
And then I moved to America, where hot water bottles are for when you're sick or cramping or whatever, not when you're just, like, cold. People associate hwbs with discomfort or disease, not with nice warm comfy bed. This is also silly.
I went twenty years of my life with cold feet every winter. That was silly! Don't be like me! Warm your feet up, don't be cold! Why am I so often a cautionary tale!
