peace to brooke delarco, who died earlier this week, a mindbending-to-me link in underground rock, the connection between the hampton grease band & yo la tengo. the sound engineer in early '70s atlanta for harold kelling's starving brain eaters, she moved to #nyc & became in-house engineer for CBGB, ork records, etc. & worked for many bands including the feelies (where she was replaced, eventually, by ira kaplan).
