I do enjoy the global feed but you are prob right. It’s nice now esp to welcome new folks but will soon be totally unusable and increasingly scammy / toxic.
Maybe a way to add ‘serendipity’ is to choose how far you might reach in your network for the global / wider feed. Eg follow only, or follows+their follows, etc all the way to no filter (prob no one will use that eventually, like trying to use email without filter).
