The inspiration for these maps came from the numerous world maps that highlight the amount and breadth of geolocated #Wikidata items as seen in this #WikimediaCommons category:

As you can see, Europe is very bright and the Philippines is kinda dark, so I wanted to create maps for the country showing where the items are concentrated. As expected, #Manila is the bright spot.
