Is it at all common for schools in the US (elementary through high school) to teach basic electronics and/or microcontrollers?

We never had anything like that when I was in school — the closest was BASIC programming on Apple IIs — but that was so very long ago that I have no idea if things have changed since Arduinos and such have become commonplace.
