Tell me about good Facebook alternatives. Specifically, looking for closed/private parenting groups etc (rather than the public nature of the Fediverse and the indie web).

I'm not asking for just myself so much as for south Seattle parenting/neighborhood communities (including non tech savvy, non Anglophone people).

Perhaps old fashioned email lists are best? Although email discussions can get noisy.
