Side note: does Martha’s Table still operate in VA? I remember volunteering for them when I was a kid and we lived out there. As I understood it, they would rescue food from grocery stores, and volunteers would assemble it into bag lunches, which they’d then pick up and take to a designated food distribution site. They had a different group of volunteers for each day of the month.. so like my church only did it once/month, but with 30 other groups going at the same rate they had consistent, daily food delivery at the same place and time every day.
If nothing else, if they’re around they might have resources for approaching businesses, etc.
