Unless I misunderstand, that isn’t the same thing though. A comment on a post is talking to the root person’s community. The point of retweet+comment is that I can take a piece of content, add something to it, and post it to *my* community.
Which can be done manually like in the old Twitter days, but a UX affordance is nice.
