This is why US feminists have absolutely NO business voting GOP for any political office. This isn't 50 or 60 years ago, when members of the Republican Party had many moderates or even liberals in the party. Since Reagan, however, the party has been hijacked by the religious right (and the "libertarians" like nutjob Charles Koch). These people now are full-on fascists. They don't care about women's rights despite their con in supporting sex-based protections in order to get Democratic or liberal women to vote for them. They HATE women and want them OUT of public life and into the confines of the home doing nothing but being wives and mothers. You have problems with Democrats? Then work from the inside and pressure the party to change. Voting for fascists like Mike Johnson is NOT the answer just because you want to teach Democrats a lesson. There are a LOT more issues than sex-based protections--like you know, abortion and reproductive rights--that are way more important for women and girls.
