There is a non-zero chance where:

- Threads picks up plenty of users and supports federation over ActivityPub
- Twitter successfully sues Meta over Threads, to the point where Meta cannot operate Threads anymore
- Threads lets people migrate their accounts to Mastodon before terminating their service

I wouldn't put any money on it, but it would be a hilarious timeline 😂
