"content": "nostr:npub1hq2x7vhrefya6nl8jpnfwv4sq2z9qu4mhn4katq4hqxssmjf0euqyq07w7 - I feel sick reading this, yet it is essential reading. The people at the centre of this, refugees from unimaginable lives, have broken no laws, committed no crimes, yet they are demonised. They deserve our compassion, but Braverman's (this government's) ramping up of rhetoric has led instead to hatred. We slip into the kind of behaviour that people of my father's generation fought against. Slowly (not so slowly) we are more and more coming to resemble those erstwhile enemies.",
