The traditional web is great for how it has improved our lives: browser/https/dns/rest/api/tcp/ip
But I fear that this improvement is now going into full adversarial reversal and we need to look at entirely new architectures.
That’s where #nostr comes in.
Though, today, many #nostr client/npub/relay implementations rely on the above protocols , I believe that there is a clean enough conceptual breakaway from the traditional web and its limitations.
For example, an ip address can be replaced by a npub, that I can generate and bind it to me only. In contrast to an ip address which needs to be assigned.
Anyway, that’s where my thinking is going, especially after reviewing authentication protocols, though ‘modern’ are inextricably bound to the legacy traditional web and are reaching the end of their lives, no longer appropriate in this new world that is emerging.
Curious of any other thoughts on this.
