This is the third nest at this location. The original nest was built in the early 2000s by Ozzie and Harriet. Ozzie died in 2014, and Harriet chose M15 as her mate a few months later. They were a bonded pair until she died last year, and he chose F23. This nest was built last year after a hurricane took out the original nest last Fall. It's about six feet in diameter and weighs about a ton. The previous nest was even bigger and closer to two tons.
