Here's my guide to boosting fan works on social media:
If it's like. Star Wars Didney crap, unavoidable-tier stuff, I almost certainly won't boost it regardless of quality. Don't worry, someone else will.
If it's a common thing, it has to be EXCEPTIONAL. Like that Toho I just boosted? I tend to actively avoid those, gacha characters, etc.
Obscure stuff? Way more eager to boost. People should see new things.
OCs? Hell yeah, I'll boost 'em almost every time.
