A good pal at $JOB has noped out to take a gig at which he'll be happily hacking on a Common Lisp compiler for a large, stable company that uses a tool written in CL for hardware verification. I'm very sorry to see him go but delighted to see where he's going and what he'll be doing. It's a bit of a step down, but one he says comes with other benefits: he described the actual work he gets to do as being like eating candy. The new gig is very lucky to be getting his work!
