what if we didn't build a service to force all the fediverse languages to talk to each other?
what if we just layered a great user experience on top of them and did all the work for our users behind the curtain, so to speak?
allow all the instances to happily live at their own subdomain, the TLD presents the user with a glorious "superfeed" of everything.
register one username and basic profile info @ownyourdata.site. we generate a separate fediverse ID on all of our instances based on that info and your password hash, then we superbly manage them for you under username@ownyourdata.site. user has an inbox for email at that tld address; messages to it just show up in their feed undiscernible from other "posts" in their feed. appearance is a function of the data that the post contains.
considerably less upfront dev work for an MVP, more usable product for the user, non-exponential source code growth, simple to white label onto a BYODomain.
