Thorwegian ❄️ on Nostr: Took the trash out. In it was my stash of snus, because it's bad for me. Took a walk ...

Took the trash out. In it was my stash of snus, because it's bad for me. Took a walk after. Examined my neighbourhood and why it's built the way it is. The world is broken, so I started fixing things. Moved a store sign that was standing next to the wrong store. At the entrance to my condo was a poster about a meeting that happened 2 weeks ago, that the housing company arranged. It doesn't need to be there now, so I removed it.

I have a lot of questions. You look around you and everything looks kind of half-assed. Next to one of the buildings, there was a patch of cobblestone. It's not even practical for walking on because the incline is too steep. Why did they put that there? It seems pointless. And also ugly.

I also noticed that the rooftop on my condo is different from the one next to it, which, upon first glance, looks like an identical building. One condo has something that almost looks like a football goal on top of it, with Christmas lights stringed around the area. On the top of my condo, there is something darker that has a more complex shape, but I'd need binoculars to tell what it is.

I live near a hospital and I took a look at one of the buildings. It's old. Up top, I saw a window that was lit dimly, like a bedroom. The rest of the building has bright office lighting. Does someone live up there? If so, I don't think you'd find such a place listed as real estate. You'd have to know somebody or something.

In the basement, one window was lit blue, which is an unusual colour for lighting, so I took a closer look. I noticed that the window was actually doors. But leading into a pit. I don't know why doors would lead into a pit. Maybe to let in some fresh air, but why not just a window then? In any case, the doors were useless because some kind of piping was in the way of them. Inside the window, there was a table and some chairs and bookshelves. Behind that, a door without a sill. I took a long look at that, because it seemed strange, but couldn't figure out what was going on there.

I was the only person out walking. It's a strange feeling to be in a big city next to the busiest hospital in the country, yet not a soul is around.
