Mega Man X8 ended up being unplayable for real. Where is the jumping and shooting? Every level revolves around a stupid gimmick. Gameplay is slow, controls are clumsy, difficulty revolves around bottomless pits, or other 1-hit kill hazards. There are tedious gauntlets on every level. Couldn't make it to a single maverick. Not even one. Zero continues to be garbage from X7. X takes longer to charge a shot than protagonists take to realise Sigma is behind every problem. Axl... I don't know, I have no interest in using Axl. Enough.
One level was basically Antarctic Adventure, and just as janky.
Verdict: While they are all terrible, by virtue of how unplayable each was, the ranking stands as follows: X7 > X6 > X8
