Ugh. I upgraded my wife’s Pixel 6a to a Pixel 9. Which is all fun and games until she goes to use Instagram.
Because Instagram doesn’t use the system photo picker you can’t get to photos stored in Google Photos which is where all the old photos are.
It sound’s like the only way around this is to either share from Google Photos to Instagram or copy the old photo roll to the photo roll of the new phone (and pray it doesn’t duplicate already backed up photos?h.
