I think there was a law re AI video passed in California, but it has an exception for clearly fake, humorous stuff about public officials. I think this would be covered under that, even if it wasn't clearly reporting, not pushing it. Either way, it's bad centralized infrastructure if the whole network is dictated by the laws of one HQ. And now we have an administration who is willing to put the pressure on anyone to comply in advance (or even in defiance) of legal precedent.
