Ok it seems like some kind of USB-C KVM switch would have to work. Any recommendations welcome! Just has to support output to a single 5K display, and connect to both MacBook Airs by USB-C. I think I'm gonna give up on the Apple keyboard and trackpad, and the built in KVM functionality of the display.
