I grew up with a mom who sent me to nature camps every summer, for many years of my childhood, so I learned stewardship and responsibility, I learned composting, I learned archery lol, and my camp counselors in the 80s were a mix of local white naturalists and hippies, as well as good number of indigenous folks from various tribes.

For the first 15 years of my life, I spent a lot of time doing this and mingling with a lot of nonwhite people at flea markets and swaps, as well as garage sales. Mom didnt work and was terminal, so we hustled, we mingled, and we learned who we are in this world. : )
