I know that Twitter/X-related stuff is distasteful (it is to me), but someone sent me a link to a tweet thread that was perhaps a cautionary tale to anyone on any social media platform.

I'm sharing just the thread unroll here, but the actual X thread had lots of comments by people providing speculation as to what was going on. I imagine Mastodonians would likely have (better-informed) comments too.
