In the US, if you pay for something by tapping a credit or debit card, there are followup questions. Do you want to add a tip? Do you want a receipt? Do you want to sign up for spam? Sometimes there are four screens of questions! I was there for a month and constantly confused when trying to pay for things.

Anyway, this morning, in England, I paid for something with the pin pad at a corner shop and happily carried on through screens meant for the retailer. 💀

He kept saying it was ok, but he was very frustrated.
