Our local councillor has just posted this on his Facebook account (which I follow because he uses it as his only method of communicating important information about stuff like road closures and power cuts), and I don’t even know where to begin with how inappropriate and bigoted it is. The comments, as you may imagine, are a “joy”. I’m really not sure how to challenge this stuff without causing a horrific pile on, and utterly failing to change anyone’s mind.
