Always have to remind myself when I hear people from Europe saying "the middle class" they mean important people on salary with two houses, two cars, kids at expensive universities and a staff of 3 at work. As opposed to "you have a job that pays you at least twice minimum wage and you're up to your eyeballs in debt but nobody really knows it in the community at large" as it means in North America.
