They're forgetting 2 things:
1. You, the recipient of that free piece of advice, don't even know where to begin to "saving money". 🤷♂️
2. If by any chance, you ever get to understand saving money at all, you'd have a high chance (IMO) of falling into OTHER savings mechanisms vs traditional banks. Namely #bitcoin
Crazy dilemma, that is to make payments (in worthless fiat, to a worthless bank), for 30 years of your life, while pseudo-renting a piece of slowly decaying "property" that in all honesty, you may dishonor the moment you lose your jobby job. Why? Easy money, that's why. Bravo! 👏
