Corfiot (npub1ljl…8jvj) Generally speaking, such rejection by parents is what really triggers kids into killing themselves. Really, the suicide has less to do with the direct effects of gender-incongruence and more to do with the feeling that they are somehow "not good enough" for their families.
What matters the most, in the majority of cases, is reassurance that their families trust them and care for them.
However, hormone-replacement drugs do help prevent later awkwardness, in some cases.
