I'll disagree, femicide is a real thing and it's happening. They aren't smart enough to calculate the consequences. Let's just look at sex disproportion in China after selective abortions. The patriarchy might not have the well-defined aim to erase women but since it's phallocentric it overlooks death of women and even encourages it.
