It is hardly necessary to review the effects of sin that have by this point already infected humanity like an aggressive cancer. Chapter four of Genesis tells us Cain murdered his brother. A few verses later some guy named Lamech boasts to his wives: “Adah and Zillah, listen to my voice . . . For I have killed a man for wounding me; And a boy for striking me.” (Genesis 4:23)
