And I'll say this YET AGAIN, if the only thing you use your desktop or laptop for is checking email and browsing the web, then I'd suggest that you ween yourself off by dual booting Linux Mint.

I guarantee after two months, you'll realize that you've stopped using Windows. At least that's what happened to me.
