Take many many videos. I can't remember any of my kids when they were babies. It's a kind of amnesia, it effects fathers too.
Realize how perfect your child is, don't believe the people that say they are self centered. No, they are completely dependent, they depend on you, and they only barely understand the world. They do not understand being hated, being betrayed, being cheated, and its better we don't either.
Never get frustrated with them, babies cry, fuss, squirm, but they do not have the capacity to hate and this is the "little children" Jesus spoke of.
Rather than trying to make them grow up, try to be more like them.
