Perhaps it's telling that as I'm observing the influx of new users on #bluesky this past week, with claims of "how peaceful and inviting it is, where everyone gets along", I'm already finding the waters turning brackish and filled with effluvia.
The cool waters of #Mastodon are an oasis by comparison.
I really think that the online audience has been down in the mud so long that they are innurred to the toxicity that is endemic in the spaces.
