I don't disagree. But I've seen many projects try to scale up free-to-all systems, for food, tech, media, etc. There seems to be hard limits to how much labour and resources can be redirected into such systems within capitalism. So while I'm all for building and defending gift economies/ solidarity economies, I think we also need to help people make a living doing essential work.
